I am a Staff Associate of Vertebrate Zoology, a Masters of Science student, and an upcoming researcher in the field of Zoology, specifically in the conservation of smaller mammals, especially bats. My research interests are in biodiversity, conservation, and ecosystems of bats.

I am keen to join the AfriPopo Organising Committee because I believe in the power of knowledge and a gateway to knowledge is through learning, one way in which one can learn is through participation and interaction. Therefore I would like to participate, learn and contribute knowledge to this platform. Through this organising committee, I will develop skills in leadership, teamwork, problem solving and communication. It will also create a platform to network with a diverse group of people with different
perspectives.

This will provide an excellent opportunity for me to expand my professional network in research. I would like to join the organising committee because it will also help me to gain experience in so many areas like logistics, budgeting, marketing and sponsorship which are relevant to personal and professional development.
