Ariana Ananda

Ari is a California native turned Australian. She has had a love for bats since she first worked with them back in 2013 during a university internship in Costa Rica. Since then, she has worked with bats across the US, Mexico, and now Australia. From flying foxes to the smallest micro bats, Ari loves all things batty! In addition to volunteering with BwB, Ari serves on the media team for the Australasian Bat Society (ABS) and as a group leader within the Global Bat Network group (GBatNet).

When not geeking out over bats and other wildlife, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, is a freelance photographer, and loves drawing and painting and exploring nature. Her hidden talents include weird animal sound impressions, live auctioneering, and teaching cats tricks. Ari is so excited to be a part of the BwB comms team and can’t wait to see how far the team can grow their media presence!
