Sarah Rowley

Sarah’s passion for bats started on a field trip to Wales during her animal behaviour degree. She observed a couple of horseshoe bats roosting in an outside cellar and was lucky enough to be allocated the bat acoustic monitoring mini project that week!

She has continued to study bats and is near to completing her MSc by research which investigates the interplay between local and landscape scale variables in shaping neotropical bat responses across a fragmented landscape. Sarah is interested in all aspects of bat ecology and has neotropical acoustic and mist netting experience gained in Ecuador and Mexico. She is also a member of her local bat group and assists with bat emergence/re-entry surveys during the bat survey season in the UK.

Sarah also has a business and marketing management degree and was a Chartered Marketer, working for over 15 years with professional services firms, creating and delivering integrated marketing and business development strategies. She continues to provide business consultancy services to a number of clients.
