Community Fundraisers
Bats without Borders has an exciting opportunity for people to join our colony as Community Fundraisers,
to make a difference to bat conservation in southern Africa.
Bats without Borders is on the lookout for a team of people to help fundraise for southern African bat conservation.
If you’ve answered yes to any of the questions above, we are looking for you! #changemakers |
Our vision for the future Bats and their habitats in southern Africa are valued, protected and conserved for the well-being of bats, biodiversity and people.
Background
We recently launched our new community fundraising guide ‘Fly into Action’, full of ideas for activities and events, top fundraising tips, and help on how to spread the word to your family and friends. We’re looking for a team to try it out by running community fundraising events, anything from a batty bake sale or a sponsored run dressed as a bat, through to hosting a bat-inspired cocktail or Halloween party!
With your help we can increase our work to conserve bats and strengthen bat conservation capacity across southern Africa.

The reason why
Bats are an incredibly important, and much misunderstood, group of mammals that are vulnerable to human impacts. They are a critical species in the ecosystems in which they live - controlling insect pests, pollinating plants and dispersing seeds. Sadly, Africa is considered a bat conservation void and bats are largely unprotected outside of protected areas. Habitat loss, land degradation and persecution are major threats to bat populations. Every single cent / penny raised by our bat hero team will make a difference to bats.
