Around the bat world in eight sessions!
Day workshop, starting at 10am southern Africa time (9am UK time) Bats undoubtedly need more friends! We have organised this event to celebrate and find out more about the great work being carried on by bat groups around the world (well eight bat groups anyway!). We are hoping to encourage people or groups across southern Africa to get involved with bat conservation and we hope this event will inspire but also create a platform to learn from and support each other. You don't need to be based in southern Africa to join, we welcome people from around the world but we only work in southern Africa but do encourage others to get involved in different regions. To ensure all of our events are inclusive we have made them free of charge, but if you are in a position to make a donation to support out our work please do consider making a donation! You can register via either of the links below, which will direct you to EventBrite to register. |

AfriPopo student symposium
Save the date! We are delighted to announce the first African student symposium. This symposium is being organised by students for students. There will be a mixture of talks, poster sessions and workshops to give students a platform to share their research, practice giving talks in a friendly and supportive environment, network and learn new skills during workshops. Open to BSc, MSc and PhD students and postdoc researchers working on bats across mainland Africa and the surrounding island. You are welcome to join as an observer of to present but we encourage you to present. If you would like to present - either as a talk or poster session, please submit your abstract by 31 March 2022. We will be offering information and advice sessions via Zoom before the symposium and if you are from a French or Portuguese country and would like additional mentoring support please ensure you make that clear on your application. |
