Helen Grimble

Helen's love of bats started when she attended a bat walk whilst studying for her Zoology degree at university, from there she was hooked and she went on to study bats in southern Africa (the Cape serotine bat) as her final MSc dissertation. Following that Helen worked for the Bat Conservation Trust for over ten years in various roles including coordinating the Bechstein's Bat Project, managing BCT's training and conference team and acting as BCT's Woodland Officer. Helen now works for a plant conservation charity managing their education and training department (Botanic Gardens Conservation International) but is a licensed bat worker and member of several bat groups in her spare time. Helen is a member of the Bats without Borders Board, inputs into education and fundraising aspects and since 2021 has been BwB's Chair.
