Helen Taylor-Boyd

Helen has been an active Bats without Borders volunteer since 2014 and has got stuck into various aspects including fundraising, administration, research and outreach. She has been instrumental in developing our work and profile in Zambia (her home country), where she is currently conducting her PhD research on ‘Bats in Agricultural Landscapes ’ with the University of Stirling, Scotland (supervised by Professor Kirsty Park and Dr Elisa Fuentes-Montemayor). Bats are not her only passion; she loves generally being outdoors, wildlife and travelling to remote places. Her husband Danny (outdoor sports instructor) often joins in on expeditions and fundraisers. In her spare time, she also enjoys crafts and makes the funky felt 'lavender bats' to raise funds for the work we do!
