Jonathan Thorneycroft

Jonathan is an early career development consultant with 5 years’ experience in project management and community engagement in southern Africa. As an introduction to his professional career, Jonathan's workstream has focused on projects seeking win-win outcomes for people and conservation through community engagement, monitoring, evaluation and learning. Jonathan aims to contribute towards positive social and environmental impact in both his personal and professional capacities. Additionally, he works as a freelance multimedia artist in illustration, graphic design and photographic work.

Jonathan has been a volunteer with Bats without Borders since 2018. He has created artwork for us and provided training and support to our first Malawian student carrying out household surveys to better understand bat persecution. More recently, Jonathan co-leads (with Tanja) our human-bat interactions team. We are delighted to have his expertise in the team.​
