Mark AndersonMark is a passionate conservationist, and he has dedicated his life to the conservation of birds. He worked as a specialist nature conservation scientist in the Northern Cape Province, South Africa, for 18 years. Subsequently he has been employed as the Chief Executive Officer of BirdLife South Africa, a position he has held for 12 years. He is an authority on the biology and conservation of vultures and flamingos. His hobbies are wildlife photography and nature travel.
We have a lot to learn about the great work from BirdLife South Africa team (and Mark in particular) and feel very fortunate to have a Bat Ambassador with a huge passion for Africa, people and conservation! |
