Board of Trustees
Orly is a senior lecturer in Ecology at the University of Exeter. They lead the Global Change Genetics group, where the group combine genomic tools with ecological research and modelling approaches to research biodiversity responses to global environmental changes, with a focus on bats. They research is applied in nature, aiming to provide the evidence base for managing our environment. Orly has worked with bats for more than 15 years since doing my undergraduate project on bat diversity in the Peruvian Amazon. Since then they has worked with bats in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, in temperate, Mediterranean, arid, tropical and montane ecosystems.
