Volunteer for us

Please see below for a range of ways you can get involved and help southern African bats! If you would like to find out more, please contact us.

Fundraise for bats

Help southern African bats 'hang on' by organising a fundraising event - Halloween party, sponsored sporting event, coffee morning, quiz night, cake sale at work or school, put out a donation box......

Project support

You can help in a variety of ways we are currently looking for volunteers to help with:
  • Grants - raising funding is our biggest challenge to ensure we can raise the profile of bats, learn more and promote a positive attitude towards our furry allies. We urgently need help to search for and write grant applications. Would be fantastic if you have grant writing experience but if not there will be support on hand and it is great experience and looks fantastic on your CV!

  • Social media - as a new organisation we need to get ourselves out there! We need help with raising our virtual profile - Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin will all be coming soon, so an exciting time to get involved...

  • Creating educational resources - if you have a creative streak and are passionate about educating young people about the wonderful world of bats we'd love to hear from you! We are hoping to team up volunteers from different backgrounds to work together (e.g. design, education and ecology).
