Bats are a misunderstood and incredibly understudied group of mammals, facing increasing threats caused by human fear and unsustainable environmental impacts. Please help us to conserve the incredible bat biodiversity in southern Africa.

Donate equipment
If you have any field equipment you are willing to donate we are in the process of building up an equipment store that can be used for student or bat group projects. Anything from head torches to bat detectors, bat bags, batteries, cameras, calipers, mist nets....
Alternatively we are only too happy if you would like to donate your hard earned cash. You can chose if you would like your donation to go into a central fund or select which of our areas you would like to support: research, conservation action, capacity building or public engagement. |

Your bat records
If you know of any caves, sink holes or abandoned mines that have bats in them please get in touch.
You can also add your bat records to the iNaturalist AfriBats website - a citizen-science project for people to add their records and bat photos. Please contact us too if you find any cave-dwelling bats - many thanks!
